Platteklip Gorge

Service Description

Platteklip Gorge is probably the most popular route up Table Mountain, and is the easiest - but not easy. ​ This route is great for those that arent super fit but want the satisfaction of hiking up Table Mountain rather than just using the cable car. For the most part an easy but steep footpath, the route offers a view that gets better and better the higher you go. ​ There is the option to add a trip to Maclean's Beacon, the summit of Table Mountain, onto the hike. We will start on Tafelberg road and finish by the Upper Cable Station. Descent is either by Cable Car or Platteklip Gorge. ​ Some steep sections Moderate fitness needed
